Constant Compatibility Churn
Core, PHP, and dozens of independently maintained plugins all update on their own schedules. An update that is safe on its own can still break a specific combination, which is why updates get tested rather than applied blind.
WordPress Maintenance Questions
Which WordPress version do you support?
The current version and one major version back. We recommend staying on the current version where possible, since older versions receive fewer security fixes over time.
Do you manage plugin licenses?
No, plugin license ownership and billing stay with the site owner. We apply updates once a license is active — if a license lapses and blocks an update, we will flag it so you can renew.
Can you build a new WordPress site?
No — this service is maintenance only, for sites that already exist. See the FAQ page for more on what is and is not in scope.
What if a plugin update breaks something?
Updates are tested on a staging copy where one is available before going to the live site, and a recent backup is always in place — see Backup & Disaster Recovery — so a bad update is a quick rollback, not a crisis.
